Cultural / Civic Organizations
Curtain Call Company
This non-profit theater company produces community productions.
Fallbrook Art Center
This nonprofit organization presents a wide variety of rotating exhibitions featuring works by nationally, internationally, and regionally recognized artists. Volunteers serve as docents, and assist at special events. The center also hosts the Fallbrook School of the Arts, where volunteers help out with the art classes offered.
Fallbrook Branch Library
Volunteers perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to: presenting and assisting with branch events, tutoring adult literacy learners, reading to children in the “Grandparents and Books” programs, helping students with homework, leading book discussion groups, and serving as Internet docents. Friends of the Fallbrook Library runs the used book store, and volunteers assist librarians with re-shelving returned items.
Fallbrook Community Center and Park
This county park offers athletic fields and courts, and public meeting rooms that host dance, art and other classes. Volunteers assist with site maintenance, and greet visitors. The Friends of the Fallbrook Community Center raises funds to provide scholarships to the various programs at the park to community members who would otherwise be unable to participate.
Fallbrook FireSafe Council
The Fallbrook FireSafe Council’s mission is to preserve our area’s manmade and natural resources by providing information, project leadership and support that help mobilize Californians to protect their homes, communities and environment from wildfires.
Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society
This nonprofit organization operates a museum, and also presents classes and workshops.
Fallbrook Historical Society
This nonprofit agency operates three historical museums in the area. Volunteers serve as docents, assist with fundraising, and even help curate exhibits.
Fallbrook Sheriff’s Station
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department utilizes volunteers in the Senior Volunteer Patrol Program, in which qualified seniors can assist in either an office setting or in unarmed uniform community patrols. Youth ages 16-20 can participate in the Explorer Program, in which they learn about careers in law enforcement and help out with traffic control and other community activities. The Search & Rescue Program also utilizes volunteers, both for field work alongside reserve deputies, and in clerical support positions. Reserve Officers are sworn law officers who volunteer their time to assist full-time deputies. The Dive Unit utilizes both support and certified diver volunteers. Volunteers with a horse are eligible to apply for the Mounted Patrol for ceremonial duties.
North County Fire Protection District
Volunteer Firefighters serve the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, ranging from emergencies that immediately threaten life or property to routine citizen requests for information or assistance.
Parks / Wilderness
Fallbrook Land Conservancy
This non-profit organization owns and operates 12 preserves in the area. Volunteers help with restoration, trail building and maintenance, and public education.
Fallbrook Trails Council
This non-profit group maintains 18 miles of hiking trails along the Santa Margarita River. Volunteers help with trail maintenance, office duties, fund-raising and more.
Santa Margarita County Preserve
This county preserve relies on volunteers to assist with park maintenance, serve as docents, and patrol the grounds to answer any questions from visitors.
Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve
Owned and operated by the nonprofit Wildlands Conservancy, this 1,300 acre preserve relies on volunteer support for habitat restoration and education programs.
American Legion Post 776
Open to any honorably discharged military veterans, the local post promotes and participates in various patriotic and civic events, focusing on supporting programs that serve veterans and their families.
Angel Society of Fallbrook
The Angel Society of Fallbrook, California is a nonprofit philanthropy that raises funds for scholarships and local grants, primarily through the operation of the Angel Shop. Located in downtown Fallbrook, the popular thrift store is managed and staffed entirely by volunteers.
This service club raises money from its annual Wine, Brews and Blues Festival, and other events, to award as both college and vocational scholarships to graduates of Bonsall High School.
This nonprofit agency offers vocational and life skills in agriculture, hospitality and the arts for those with Asperger’s, high functioning autism, or a mild disability in the environment of a working ranch. Volunteers assist with operations, fundraising, and in providing mentorship to clients.
Fallbrook A Leer / Reading
A Leer / Reading focuses on the importance of serving one’s community and giving back for the good of all. The group holds literacy events, and provides free books to families throughout the community.
Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary
Volunteers clean the animal enclosures, take the dogs for walks, spend time with the cats, or perform office clerical duties.
Fallbrook Food Pantry
This nonprofit organization operates a food bank that is primarily staffed by volunteers.
Fallbrook Garden Club
The club’s mission is to create and promote interest in horticulture, floral and landscape design and plant and bird life, and to encourage civic and environmental responsibility.
Fallbrook Music Society
The society produces a series of symphonic performances in town each year, and also provides classical music enrichment programs for students in local schools.
Fallbrook Riders Club
This nonprofit club seeks to promote and preserve the area’s equestrian culture, and provide educational opportunities for those wanting to learn more. The club also operates Fallbrook Riders Field for hosting equestrian events.
Fallbrook Village Rotary
This club organizes and runs the annual Fallbrook Thanskgiving Turkey Trot, as well as other events, to raise funds for local scholarships.
Fallbrook Woman’s Club
Part of the California Federation of Woman’s Clubs, this organization holds several fund-raisers to award local scholarships and donate to other community groups.
Riding Emphasizing Individual Needs and Strengths is a nonprofit that provides therapeutic equestrian experiences for adults and youth with special needs.
Rotary Club of Fallbrook
Chartered in 1946, this club’s members volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club and at community beautification projects throughout Fallbrook. Fund-raisers are held to allow scholarships to be awarded to local high school graduates pursuing their college or university education.
VFW Post 1924
Open to any honorably discharged veteran who served in an overseas area of foreign conflict. The Charles E. Swisher Post holds fundraisers to support PTSD treatment for veterans, and donates to programs that support veterans who are homeless.

Bonsall Fallbrook Little League
This league offers baseball for youths ages 4-16 within its participation boundaries.
Boys & Girls Clubs of North County
For more than 50 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County has been committed to serving youth and reaching out to young people in need. Today, you can join them in their mission and serve as a program volunteer, coach or a general operations volunteer. Your participation will have a direct impact on the lives of the youth in our community.
Boy Scouts of America
Volunteers help plan and staff day camps, resident camps, camporees and other large, multi-unit events; assist with fund-raising; serve on Eagle boards of review; and serve as Merit Badge counselors and STEM mentors.
Fallbrook Ag Boosters
The Ag Boosters are active in the organization of the Youth fair, FFA Field Dats, and providing information for the Junior Livestock Auction at the San Diego County Fair. They support the FFA Chapter of Fallbrook Union High School, and the 4-H Clubs of Fallbrook and Bonsall.
Fallbrook Girls Softball
This league offers recreational and competitive softball for girls ages 5-14.
Fallbrook Pop Warner Football & Cheerleading
This program offers football and cheer opportunities for area youth.
Fallbrook Youth Baseball
This program offers t-ball and baseball for area youth from 3-14.
Fallbrook Youth Soccer League
This league offers recreational and competitive play for youths age 3-16.
Girl Scouts of the USA
Volunteers help staff day camps, assist with adult training workshops, sit on the Gold Award Committee, assist in the local Scout office, and mentor girls through the advancement program.
